It looks real to me. I think they did a good job turning the race issue into a humorous/less serious issue. The acting was horrible but at least it was funny and equal. Great find.
It's really no different than 80% of ads that run on your television or are printed on paper, except it was more obvious. Companies cast their commercials to be racially equal. If there is a tv or magazine with multiple people appearing in it it will likely contain more than one race and usually three. I learned about this back in College but I've also witnessed it first hand when acting in California. Once you realize they do this you'll be amazed at how consistent the ads are. I personally don't have a problem with political correctness but should someone get mad at a company that doesn't hire actors representing their skin color? I guess it depends on how intentional it seemed.
What are your thoughts Kim? Did you find the commercial offensive or just plain stupid?

I watched it with my mouth open, then I started cracking up laughing! I was like, you gotta be kidding me?!!!! It was just so stupid that I, initially thought, this has to be a joke. I wasn't offended at all - by the end of the commercial, I was singing "Red House Furniture" or whatever they were saying with them. LOL!!!!

LOL, I watched it a couple of times. I love how they zoom in on the black and white hand shakes. So stupid that it's funny. Sorry about the comment above. I was trying to embed the video.
I have to admit I thought it was pretty funny. Maybe it's good to inject a little humor into race issues. It helps us see how ridiculous prejudice really is.

I couldn't agree with you more. I think there's so much sad stuff being reported on nowadays, that we need to hear some absolutely ridiculous things here and now to make you laugh. For a while, when I post something on 7daybuzz, it will be so stupid, BUT TRUE, that we won't be able to help but laugh.
And Miss Elaine, I read your comment about Joe Biden. I agree with you - he's saying some very STUPID stuff. I'll have to piece together a "JOE BIDEN FAMOUS QUOTES" post or something along those lines. Let's have some fun!

It is not offensive at all to me. I think it is kind of funny. Obviously, someone knows there are racial issues in this country and they are poking fun at it.
