7daybuzz: Credit Card Companies Force Good Cardholders To Take Up The Slack

    You begin to wonder, "why bother"? You pay your mortgage on time and end up subsidizing those who don't. You manage your household finances well and end up paying to bail out institutions which didn't. You stay on top of your credit cards and pay them off regularly and now we are subsidizing those who don't.

    That is one way to look at it. The other way to look at it is that those with riskier credit were paying more so those with good credit could pay less. Now that some people are totally cut off, others have to pay higher rates to keep one thing constant: the shareholders will get there money no matter what.
