Good for her! I think we all need to fight back more. I also think all young girls should be taught self defense in school as they are more vulnerable because of their sex and size. (Generally speaking...) Id like to see some of my tax dollars go towards that! When I was in junior high a boy kept bothering me on the bus and one day he came up to me and made a lewd comment so I punched him in the nose. I'm 5'1' and he was at least a foot taller than me so I gained a lot of respect that day from everybody, including him. We ended up being friends. I talk to my granddaughters all the time about when it's appropriate to defend yourself and how to do it. Maybe if we started teaching this in school there would be less domestic violence.

I couldn't agree with you more! I love it that she was able to defend herself instead of becoming a victim. This story made my day when I read it.
